Sure she just wasn't trying to look like an owl or something. The girls shown in the wiki article actually look attractive (well most of them), though obviously overly dolled up. Actually they look american (or what the fashion magazines would have you believe the average american woman looks like). Not really date material, but certainly would be nice to have in other situations.
