Improving Intelligence forumula

The in game battle forumulas are pretty decent and nothing i can't work with except for intelligence...this stat is really weak.

I would like to improve it's effectiveness and make it's effect on spell damage more in tune with the effect strength has on attacks - but after looking at the power up with intelligence formula it's extremely complicated and vague and deals almost primarily with temporary variables and confusing notes.

If anyone here has ever attempted something like this and wouldn't mind sharing what they learned and scripted i'd like to read it.

I would also like to see something easy. I think the reason its such a long script is that its factoring in all the different kind of resistances. I could be wrong though.
