Working in a restaruant has its hazards. Basically everything there.

Was chopping mushrooms, and BAM, there it goes. Luckily it wasnt through the nail, but just all the skin and meat in front of the nail, to the left side is gone. Bleed like a mofo, and I went white as a ghost. Boss gave me a lift to the hospital, and they cleaned it and wrapped it up.

Not really anything to stitch together, so they just wrapped it really tight with some neosporin, and i go back on friday so they can change the bandages.

Doesnt hurt nearly as much as youd think either. Just stings. And typing with one hand sucks, and it will suck going back to work and only using one hand most of the time.

And no video games for a few weeks either. ARMORED ****ING CORE 4 COMES OUT NEXT WEEK TOO.

Too bad you wont be able to play AC4 when it first comes out. I've been looking at all the videos and it looks like the best AC yet. Might actually get me back into it.

Thumb choppings suck. I know a guy whom recently got his hand caught in a circular saw/buzzsaw. Cut off parts of his left index and middle fingers.

At least you got the Wii.

Yikes--sorry to hear this happened, but glad it wasn't anything worse.

I know your pain... in ninth grade I took a course in Nutrition & Food Prep and got a bit clumsy with a vegetable peeler. Cut cleanly through my thumbnail, down the center... pretty serious bleeding, but thankfully I didn't go deep into my skin. When explaining it to the teacher (so I could be excused and get bandages) she actually had the gall to more or less ignore me until I said "I cut myself with the peeler" instead of "the peeler cut through my finger"... to this day I'm shocked I didn't go berserk about that.

I've done that before, but thankfully only when I'm taking a drink. Wish I could play Castlevania: Circle of the Moon the same way....

As for injuries, the most severe injury I've was a year or two ago... At my old school the only thing seperating the woods from the pasture (it was the schools pature) at one crossing was a short barbed wire fence with part of it trodden to the ground. I made the mistake of jumping over that section. one of the barbs cought my knee, and I was throen to the ground with an area of skin (and something beneath) slightly smaller than a dime torn open. There wasn't any pain or blood, at least not at first....
I still have the scar.
