Operation Job Search: Fission Mailed! *UPDATE*

Well, I have been looking for a ****ing job for a year now. Now I have no money left what-so-ever and still no job! WHO THE HELL DO YOU HAVE TO **** TO GET A DAMN JOB!?! I'm so tired of searching, dressing all nice, filling out a ****load of applications, turning them in, following up constantly, and never getting a phone call. Any helpful tips or alternative ways of making money (legal)? Please, I'm desperate.

Yep. I was all excited about the prospect of getting a new job a few weeks ago but now I'm not so hopeful. I follow up, and yet nothing. And it doesn't help that a report was just issued that said that the Lansing, Michigan area is one of the weakest markets in the nation.

I'm moving to Texas.

you have a local employment office for your town? My bf got an interview the same day w/ Mariott when he went there.

Yeah, I went to an employment office and I never got anything out of it. I even decided to get the help of a job coach.... still unemployed.

Have you tried getting work through a temp agency? They usually suck, but it's better than nothing.

When I first started working a "real" job at 16, I tried a lot of small businesses first. I got hired full-time at a plant nursery that only had five other employees.

wow. out of all those, im surprised you've heard nothing back from them.

keep trying! if you're making the effort to apply and even follow-up, calling them occasionaly, you're doing all you can, which is plenty.
