Should I get the PSP version of this if I already have the PS1 version of it? What's added on/improved for the PSP one besides the fact that I can play it portably? (I almost never play my portables in places where I couldn't play console games, anyways.)

Re: Valkyrie Profile for the PSP: Worth $40?
The game can be found used for 20-25, just in case you have trouble finding it new, or would like to save a few bucks.
if you ever buy used PSP games, check the UMD to see if it's falling apart first. they can split in half or the transparent parts can fall out. several of my games (that I bought new) had this problem. yay superglue. be VERY careful when taking them out of their cases to avoid this.Last edited by Valkysas; 03-12-2007, 04:27 PM.

I haven't played either version, but the way I see it is, if you have the game already not much point getting it again. Unless if you would prefer playing on the go, which I can understand. Hell, I have FFVI and I want the GBA version as well.... I wasn't much help, was I? Sorry.

Add me... I'll wait.

Oops....forgot about that part. SorryOriginally posted by John Mora View PostBut I HAVE the PS1 version.
I think I was talking to myself....
However, I'd get it anyway if you wanted to--simply because it's a VP you can take with you anywhere. Ball's in your court.

From what I remember from reviews they made significant changes, additions to the story. To make more sense and to tie in with Silmeria. So it probably has enough different that it'd be worth a play through if you're interested.I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!

You can sell your old copy for a profit on the internet, and buy it all over again for your PSP. How's that sound?
Speaking of VP...
In the first one, I got to the Tower of Lezard Veleth and just stopped playing. No reason why, kind of lost interest in switching equipment for my characters every level up so they could get massive HP and SP gains (I was playing on Hard mode).
In the second one, I got to the end of some lava cave... then gave up and sold it in frustration. The game was way too hardcore of a JRPG for me. And that's saying a lot. The convuluted skill/equipment system was a big turn-off for me as well.
