It's been a while since I was here last. It's been busy. Hopefully everyone is doing well?

I am picking a ps3 up this week and I was curious if anyone has converted the save game files to a format that can be transfered to the ps3, either through a direct link (through the web browser), or a virtual memory card save?

Just curious if it was possible?

arent Virtual Memory Card files tied to the system they were created on? Someone told me that, I dont know if its true or not. but if it is, it would become impossible for us to have the games in that format for download.

The PS3 also doesnt get along with the Max Drive, from what I've heard.

I don't have a ps3 yet, but I did find this information. I am not quite understanding it completely. There are folks doing it though. If I were able to get the ps2 files I would gladly do through all the games and make them available for everyone here. I just have to figure out how.

Here are some of the details.
After you have downloaded a Playstation 3 Game Save to your computer, it is very easy
to transfer to your Playstation 3 Console!

* Insert a memory card, or usb key into your computer.
* Transfer the /PS3 folder from your computer to your memory device.
* Take the memory device and insert it into your PS3.
* Go to the Saved Data Utility folder under the Game menu
* Hit the X button.
* You should see your old game saves and the memory device.
* Select your memory device and hit the X button.
* Now you will see the game save from your memory device.
* Hit the Triangle button and select copy.

that says "PS3 save", not "virtual memory card".

Ok, I talked to some guys about this and it is possible to do, just tedious.
I would still need to get the dex drive thing though. I am told the following.

Take a ps2 game save and get the ps3 memory card adapter.
Plug the adapter in and make a virtual card on the ps3.
Then attach an external hard drive via usb to the ps3.
You can save the virtual memory card to the external hardrive as a psv file. (they have them currently at gamespot.
You can then plug the external hard drive into your computer, take the file out and upload it for others to download directly to their ps3, or to their computer and then to the external harddrive to the ps3.

This would be a long process, but not really so bad if one had all the equipment needed.

Not sure if anyone here has all those things, I will have all of it but the dex drve or whatever it was called.

I'm sure they didnt mean "external hard drive".

so sounds like I got wrong info.

regardless, no one I know has both a max drive (to get the games), a PS2 (to use the max drive), a PS3, a memory card adapter, and the time to do all that over a hundred times.
