Richard Jeni is dead...

Apparently he killed himself. He was one of my favorite comedians, and was one of the best comedians ever...not to mention that most people have never heard of him. He's made me and my friends laugh our asses off.

Well, I'm not sure why he did it, but he will be missed.

Yeah, barely anyone has heard of him. I've seen his face more than 8,000 times, I'm sure.

I remember him from Platypus Man. All I really remember of the show is the theme song but any time I saw him in anything I'd remember it. If it does turn out to be murder, it's not all that cleverly disguised. Just shot him then called in saying he shot himself. If what I've learned from CSI and Law & Order is true it'll take ballistics all of ten minutes to determine if that's the case or not.

He was one of the moderators for Comedy Central's 100 Comics list. Yeah, I figure he considered suicide to be the punchline.

Sad thing is that I can hardly remember most the names of even the biggest celebs. So I couldn't remember his name until now. He was indeed a good comedian which should have got more credit than he did. I'll miss him.
