www.amazon.com and www.toysrus.com has it for sale on their website with a release date of 07/26/05. they are the only websites that I found that said something about RPG maker 3, so does anyone know if this is when it is getting released?

I'm afraid that's false information. RPG Maker 3 hasn't even been announced yet.

well how can they sell it if it's not getting released? I wonder what they are selling then. It does look kinda fishy with no pictures and just a description.

Some companies get a little speculative and add placeholders of that sort. This dosen't denounce RPGM3 being released stateside, though. It just hasn't been announced, yet.

I wouldn't count on it. I was one of the many that waited for RPGM2 to come out in December, then February, then June, then August, then September, and finally in October.

Anyway, I'm surprised to see the newest RPG Maker is coming out so fast. It was released in like, December of last year in Japan?

Does anyone know if there are and gun weilding characters in this new release? All the games I planed to make have gun users. Of course I'd have to use that same guy, but that's beside the point at the current time.

crimson knight, in the case of the fake release dates, agetec only had 2 release dates announced, ever. one was for september of 2003, and then it got bumped to october. for future reference, only trust a release date for an RPG Maker game if you see it here, or at agetec's site/forum. stores often create fake release dates to secure more pre-ordersm which is how they make most of their money, since a pre-order is a guaranteed sale.

speaking of fake release dates, the one at amazon.com is "questionable". there's a certain range of time that agetec wants to release it in, but they dont have one nailed down just yet. it will be out this year, however.

I'm sure we'll see it before the holiday season. I doubt Agetec wants to run it against the big holiday titles. I'd bet it'd be another Oct. release.
