Maybe it was because I played it's PSX port, and it's not because of the load times, but for the time I played it I just failed to see what all the hype was about.

Kingdom Hearts. Good god almighty, that game is nigh unplayable. Way too floaty, the magic system sucks and is unwieldy, and your partners act like 2 year olds with no thought towards resource management.

Why do I hate them? because they have no real point. you don't leave the games feeling anything. its just "well, there goes a few hours, now I'll do something else".

Actually, for me, I got a sense of accomplishment from leaving the GTA games after finishing them. The missions, exploration, and story based off of characters all just kinda appealed to me.


FFVII. I've had it for a year, got to the last boss, then deleted my save. I'm now 3/4 way again (since like 4 months ago), and stopped... again.

It's tough for me to separate my hate. It all just clumps together!

And it seems like these topics come around once every month or so. I don't have any new games to mention! Let's see... Xenosaga, Kingdom Hearts... Excitetruck wasn't really critically acclaimed...

Metroid Prime Hunters is pretty dreadful but I already mentioned that too.

ARGH. I've only been playing good ones lately.

Actutally, Xenosaga is hated by pretty much everybody but me. Its far from crittically acclaimed. HAVE YOU SEEN ITS SALES? Not even 200,000 copies sold worldwide for Episode III (the series is terribly underrated, IMO, but peoples complaints about it are from invalid.)


Let's see, I never cared much for:
Grand Theft AutoSay whatever you want, I still think its in terribly bad taste.
Tales Of... Just can't get into any of them.
Kingdom Hearts II I can't put my finger on what it is I don't like. Sure, I agree that the first game was floaty and awkward, but the story had enough charm for me to fall in love with it almost instantly. With the sequel, however, something feels missing....(despite the fact that the gameplay is now 100,000% better).
Jak and Daxter, Jak II, Jak III People keep saying "OMG BEST STORY IN A PLATFORMER EVAR!!!111shift+1 and how great the combat is, but I just don't see it.

The Jak series is just fun. The fact that there's a linear plot structure that is more than just "collect these things and stop bad guy" is kind of nice, but it's nothing epic.

In fact, Jak III is totally underwhelming in gameplay and story versus Jak & Daxter and Jak II.

the only thing epic about the game was how epically BAD it was. I'd rather eat the disk than play the game...and that would hurt.
