Another one bites the dust.

Resident Evil Outbreak and File #2 online servers will be shutting down March 31. I've only played REO online a couple of times. It is fun but would've been exponentially better with real communication, either keyboard or better yet voice chat. I'll probably pop on a couple more times while I still can. Looks like a lot of online PS2 games will be closing doors.

Oh Man... Outbreak was only tolerable online, too. Seeing as the AI was dumber than ****.

Well, it was only tolerable online, probably because it was designed to be played online.

Well, you can unlock the option of playing solo offline. No NPCs with ya to screw things up and ignore you.


I actually loved the Outbreak games, but lack of communication did kill it.

The NPCs are useful for carrying more items though. But then you have to figure out where the heck they've run off to when you need to get one back.

But, it turns out only File #2 was shut down. I just logged onto REO about an hour ago and somebody in the chat lobby told me that. People were still logging in a playing. Anyone have it and wanna battle through Raccoon City with me sometime?
