I don't get what she's implying. One minute she's saying it's a great starter system, and the next she's saying they're not being made anymore. I find that quite contradictory.

Besides, the Wii can play GameCube games. Nintendo should just concentrate on making more Wii consoles for the masses.

She's saying that a "core gamer" isn't going to buy a GC now. A "core gamer" will want a 360, Wii, or PS3 now. I think she means that the GC is a good system to buy to get into games. Used I guess.

Yeah, what Naruto said. Someone who wants to be current in gaming wouldn't get one now when they could get a Wii instead. Whereas, someone who just wants to get into gaming casually might consider an old system since everything's available for cheap and they don't really care that they're behind the times because it's all new to them.

Ah, that makes sense. They should still make a few more GameCubes. They still make Game Boy Advances, and I see kids as young as five years old playing Pokemon on them.
