I'm sure this has been done before but make a list of your Top 20 (or something) favorite games.
20. Super Mario 64 (N64)
Super Mario 64 is ranked above Super Mario World probably because of how amazing it was at the time. The worlds, the design -- it felt so epic. Just everything about it was pulled off perfectly in my mind, and is my favorite regular ol' Mario game.
19. Paper Mario 64 (N64)
My brother and I played this together and I just remember never wanting it to end. It was fresh, funny and colorful. Great game.
18. Doom II (PC)
Classic. Playing this on my friends old ass PC when I was like 6.
17. Diddy Kong Racing (N64)
Great party times. The multi-player games, the tracks, and the 3 different vehicles ranks it above MK any day.
16. Cave Story (PC)
Probably the single best side-scroller ever made.
15. Resident Evil 4(GCN)
Game has changed how action games will be played forever.
14. Twisted Metal 2 (PS1)
Pure nostalgia, because Black is a definite superior product. But I just remember this game as some of my favorite gaming times.
13. Goldeneye 64 (N64)
This game made me buy the 64. Multi-player matches at my friends house, even the single player mode was fun. Awesome.
12. Diablo II (PC)
I was addicted to this game when I was something like 12. Made my first "online" friend playing it. Toad, I know you're still out there somewhere.
11. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (PC)
This game is just immense. Feels like there isn't anything you can't do.
10. Super Smash Bros. (N64)
Multi-player fun with my buds again. Never really played Melee that much.
9. Metal Gear Solid (PS1)
The cinematic presentation, the stealth action -- nothing like it at the time.
8. Chrono Trigger (SNES)
Only SNES RPG that I think holds up.
7. Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando(PS2)
Ratchet and Clank is action, comedy, fun, cartoony, whimsical, and everything in between. The level designs are great, the weapons... everything about this game ranks it as my all-time favorite platformer.
6. Fallout 2 (PC)
Greatest RPG of all time.
5. Starfox 64 (N64)
Unbelievable amounts of fun.
4. Perfect Dark (N64)
Playing till 500 kills in a 4-player death match? Awesome.
3. Civilization III (PC)
I played this game at least an hour a day for probably a year. Addicting, deep, but more accessible than II.
2. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
Ah, my fondest memories are probably of me playing this game. Game felt HUGE. I recently replayed it and it's still a great great great game.
1. Starcraft (PC)
This really is the greatest RTS of all time. It's as balanced as any RTS could ever hope to be. Tell me, how many 8-year-old games can you still go pick-up at Best Buy? Hardly any. The game is magic.
8 N64 games
7 PC games
2 PS1 games
1 SNES game
1 Gamecube game
1 PS2 games
0 Xbox games
0 Genesis games
Most of this list is biased towards nostalgia. I grew up on the N64 so of course it has the most of my all time favorite games. Suck it.

It's a great game and all, but I'm only five days into it. Lemme go change the list real quick!
