Doyleman
02-23-2007, 12:52 AM
Well, direct IP only works if there's a password or something...

I looked for 'pavilion', but didn't find it.

JPS
02-23-2007, 12:57 AM
I didnt set a password so you might be able to get in without one

Im trying:(

Ok server name is "Pavilion" password is "pavilion", perhaps you can direct IP with that?, I dont think so but you can try pavilion as the password with the IP #

Doyleman
02-23-2007, 01:05 AM
LAN? Isn't that only for computers around each other (like, within a short distance: perhaps a town or so)?

IDK...

JPS
02-23-2007, 01:07 AM

Here.

I'll make a game named "JPS and Doyleman" (or something)

you go from main screen to multiplayer > Internet, and look for it.

tell me if you dont see it.

Doyleman
02-23-2007, 01:19 AM
K, I made it. No password. Named JPS and Doyleman.

Its 'Battle Creek' (or something like that....)

(Sorry to double post....)

JPS
02-23-2007, 01:21 AM

Doyleman
02-23-2007, 01:25 AM

Join the AEHW2 Game that has a ton of spaces in the front of it...if you see it, its at the very top after it refreshes completely

Doyleman
02-23-2007, 01:43 AM

JPS
02-23-2007, 01:48 AM
I was hoping Irate or Magus would butt in and save us but they kind of disappeared:(

Doyleman
02-23-2007, 01:53 AM
what version of halo do you have?

I have Combat Evolved...

I doubt that has anything to do with it, but eh.

**edit**

Okay, you make a game, tell me the name, leave it unpassworded, and I'll try looking for it once more.

according to my manual, it shouldn't matter what version of halo people have.

JPS
02-23-2007, 01:59 AM
I have Combat Evolved

Build # 01.00.07.0613 but I dont think that matters either

Doyleman
02-23-2007, 02:02 AM
yeah.

try making another game called Pavilion. I'll look for it one more time.

If it doesn't work, I'll start looking around for answers.

JPS

Hosts' Name: Jeff
Server Name: Pavilion
Password: None
Server IP: 192.168.1.102:2302
Map: Sidewinder
Max. Players: 6
Connection: DSL/Cable(Med.)

Thats all I can help with

Doyleman
02-23-2007, 02:14 AM
OH YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING

I found it.

It wont connect for some retarded reason.

It says, when I click join:

Negotiating with server.

Connecting to server 66.84.86.69:2302

then it re attempts like 5 times, then says unable to connect

JPS
02-23-2007, 02:29 AM
Howd you find it?

reconnect to it the game was over because time ran out:(

Doyleman
02-23-2007, 02:31 AM
I clicked 'Join Game', and just looked at every 'sidewinder' mapped game, and found it towards the bottom.

JPS
02-23-2007, 02:34 AM

Doyleman
02-23-2007, 02:36 AM
Sorry...

JPS: I give. I keep clicking join, and it'll never connect.

We'll have to try again sometime, cuz it's kinda late for me.

JPS
02-23-2007, 02:37 AM
no problem, its late for me too, I got a road trip coming up in the morning, so I guessl we'll try again sometime

JPS
02-28-2007, 07:29 PM
Im up for some Halo tonight if anyones interested

Im learning how to create a server now, seeing its obviously not a click->join thing:(

Doyleman
02-28-2007, 08:01 PM
Actually, I played a few games online by that method.
I don't know what it is exactly that messed up for me and you, though.

(Oh, I also joined a 'clan' on halo. dunno if that's good or bad, though, lol)

JPS
02-28-2007, 08:27 PM
Maybe we can try again tonight sometime, this time in the confines of AIM or yahoo so Irate doesnt get a giraffes head up his butt:lol

Doyleman
02-28-2007, 08:52 PM
My aim name is doyleman77, but yeah, I figure we should use a IM this time.

JPS
02-28-2007, 08:56 PM

I would play Halo 2 online, but, sadly, we must have signed up to Xbox Live the wrong way (we tried to sign up online, then we didn't get a connection, then when we tried to sign up normally, it says our activation code has already been used).
Does anyone know if you can play Halo 2 online using the Xbox 360?

JPS
03-17-2007, 10:04 PM
Im not too sure, Ive never played Live, or had an xbox for that matter:(

Sorry I wasnt much help, but perhaps you can call someone if their # is on the halo book somewhere and see if they can wipe that registration number off or something,...Im not sure

Chrono
03-17-2007, 10:25 PM
Yes, you can play Halo 2 on the 360, I've done it a few times. But I can't stand most of the people that play on there.

Dusk Raven
03-18-2007, 11:57 AM
Alright, that helps. my only worry is that by the time I'm able to play Halo 2 online, Halo 3 will be out.
