Uh...you can play most new games...at minimum settings.

I mean, i built my computer last year, with higher specs than that...no offense.

              no offense taken

I wasnt looking for a high end computer at all, just something more then what I had and fairly cheap

hey its not much but its better then a 450mhz 256mb RAM

3ghz is almost as high as you can go processor wise until you get into the commercial processors, the ram can be expanded to 2gb which Im planning to do soon, plus I got a 160gig hard drive I have absolutely no idea what Im going to do with

But that's still really good, though. I hope you find as much enjoyment out of your new CPU as your old one--if not more.

I hear ya. I accidentally clicked something twice and now I've got a terrabyte of HDD in my new computer. Time to take up video editing.

Even if it does suck, you lucky duck. :P

It's better than the one I have now. I still need to reformat it to eliminate the virus.

Hopefully this one will be able to handle a few games. I'm gonna try installing my bad graphics card on this thing when the new one comes in.

Legally backup movies you own. It goes pretty fast if you do that. I have 600 gigs of storage, which is about 3/4s full of mostly anime and music.

                          Re: Woohoo new computer

When I said newer games I meant games with more higher requirements then Quake 3, which was as high-end as my dinosaur could get without errors and requirement restrictions, Halo basically laughed in my face when I attemted to install it

But I dont really like Vista, the HD speeds up and then slows down when anything is clicked on, causing a delay, never had that problem with 98

                            Re: Woohoo new computer

I only have 256 RAM, and I played halo with as much stuff clicked max just fine.

Unfortunately, my GFX card didn't support dynamic shading or something, so the flashlight on Master Chief's helmet didn't do wortha squat (to fix this, I cranked up the brightness on the monitor )

Though, I set some option on my computer to make virtual memory or something emulate RAM when needed (I think I did something like that...)

JPS: I'll havta reinstall halo again, and you and I can play
