The 10 Most Dangerous Toys of All Time

    Anybody remember these?

I had about 4 of these toys when I was little-- I distinctly remember the Cabbage Patch Kid doll chewing up my fingers and my Mom snatching it from me and setting it on fire with the rest of the garbage.

EDIT: I thought for sure the Easy Bake Oven was gonna be on there; I guess I was the only one who was clumsy with it.

In the beginning the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and is widely considered as a bad move.

My dad still has a set of Lawn Darts. I always called them "Yard Darts" since it sounds cooler.

We should get the family together and play sometime.

Wow. That commercial really did it for me, I wish they still sold those.

Nah, hasbro just had to reissue a huge recall on the things. kids were getting their hands trapped inside.

I feel like I've definitely play with those Jarts before.

And now I wish I was small enough to ride a Power Wheels motorcycle...

We have a set of lawn darts up at my aunt's cabin in the mountains. We'd always play with them when we were younger, but the adults always stressed to us how dangerous they could be and told us we had to stand back from other people and things like that, so no one got hurt. o_o

I had a cabbage patch doll when I was five, but it didn't have the capacity to eat. I'm glad for that!

I still have my set of lawn darts. They were a favorite of mine from about the age of 4 to 8. They were my brother's old set.

Thinking about it, I'd have loved to have had an atomic energy lab as a kid, but never heard of it before today.

My sister used to have a set of sky dancers she got in the mid 90s. When I was about 12 I placed razor blades in the wings. Very good fun. I called them Spinning Death.

I've never owned any of said toys, but I do remember the commercials for some of them, namely the sky dancers and the cabbage patch snacktime doll. I do recall there being a version of the skydancers for boys, though their name escapes me.

Are lawn darts really any more dangerous than horseshoes?

Um, yeah. They're very pointy and VERY heavy.

My brother owned one of those Hot Wheels car launchers that nearly took my eye out once.

I remembering him laughing at me when I was crying.

Why didn't I think of that? Gah--now I can't find any of those stupid toys. I grew up in a heavily forested area too; I can imagine a myriad of possibilities of such a toy. Such an opportunity lost.
