I don't suck at Warcraft Three!

I used to be like 95% of people, who get the basics behind an RTS, but don't...get it. I know thats kinda weird to say, but I've seen a lot of you on Starcraft who "get" the game.
And, well, I get Warcraft 3 now. I know, weird to make a thread about: but it's just so great to be able to click the quick play icon and have a chance of winning.
Here's an example. This guy wasn't a total tard, it was just a fair game that I won. So, when I'm getting whupped in Starcraft, just remember: I can play Warcraft Three.
And pheonix, I want a rematch sometime. And the rest of you! Get on warcraft three! I'd like to actually be decent in a pav competiton.
[EDIT: Oh yeah, and any tips on how I can improve? that was kinda the whole point.]

Well, it's not like B.net is gonna be a clean sweep for me, but at least I have a chance against opponents who are really the level it says they are.
I just wonder why this doesn't transfer like, at all to starcraft.
[EDIT: Downloading the replay of the tournament finals. Gonna replay them to death XD]

I never "got" starcraft either...which is a shame because i really love the game

I dont have warcraft 3, but might get it once I get my new comp

Im still looking for people to play quake 3 because I'm real good at that but no one has that either

Yeah. get Warcraft 3 ASAP. The custom games on battle.net are a HUGE source of replay value.
Make sure you get the Battle Chest w/ Frozen Throne, though.

Thing is Warcraft 3 is more like a super simplified game of SC. Does a lot of things automatically, that you have to do manually in SC. Don't have to babysit heros and stuff either (in SC that is).

Actually, in some ways Warcraft Three is more complex, but yeah, Starcraft is more complex in the ways that are killing me. It's not so much that Warcraft does more things automatically as it is that the counter system is so much more PRONOUNCED that you have to direct every different unit type in SC to a different type of unit.
Heroes add more strategy, but at the same time, dividing those perks among units require a much more divided attention span, and two fronts is pretty much my limit

I'm really good at Unreal Tournament 2k4. But no one hear wants to play me because I'm so damn good.

Or they just don't wanna get the game.

And I dislike almost any FPS, although I like Call of Duty.
[EDIT: and even though I'm home sick, I still enjoy warcraft three breaks. 3 win streak going. 5 more wins and I get an icon! ]

WC was all about getting flying units on the board as fast and quick as possible. Sc is kinda the same, cept units counteract each other better I think.

Although both Warcraft AND Starcraft matter a lot about whats in the skies, it's not like I'm gonna mass windriders w/ orcs, that'd be dumb.

I hate the hero system in WC3. The whole game revolves around it though.

Well, certainly the hero system is imporant to grasp, but the game does NOT revolve around it. It sometimes seems like it, because their abilities see a lot of use, but use does not equal importance, and hero's are not even close to being the most important thing.

I disagree...Levelling up your Heroes is pretty much #1.
