    Enterbrain Update

I have solid confirmation that at this time, Enterbrain is NOT working on any RPG Maker projects aside from the "RPG Tsukuru for MOBILE" installment. So everyone can stop PMing, IMing, and e-mailing me about "RPG Maker 4".

Thank you. I'll let you know when things change.

Which means basically, console RPG Maker is done? Because honestly, WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS FOR MAKING A RPGM MOBILE HUH?

You could've just forwarded them to me, I'll set the dumbasses straight.

Though I expected as much, since we haven't heard a peep out of them for what, a year?

I think what he means is that they are not currently working on a new console RPGM, but may, hopefully, make one in the future.

I think we were just spoiled by the fairly short time period between 2 & 3.

i agree. that was quite a short time span between the two.

(i'm still just happy with XP, right now; though it's not a console rpgm.)

They'll return to the main series eventually. It's understandable why they'd focus on the MOBILE title though, cellphones are realy advanced and everywhere in japan, the thing is a huge hit.

Again, RM3's barely been out for a year. It's been about a year and 4 months or so.

Yeah, and I haven't even unwrapped my copy yet. I'm glad they aren't releasing a new one soon.

I remember when we first got pictures of RM3 and had no idea if it would ever come here. I was so jealous. Same with the first info on RM2 except we already knew it was coming here by the time I found out about it. We still don't have any info on RM4 so I gotta figure it's a while away.

We won't hear anything about RPGM4 until probably late 2008 at earliest. The short time between RPGM2 & RPGM3 was because they were made only one year apart (2003 for RPGM2 and 2004 for RPGM3 according to the copyright details on the boxes).

I suspect that most of the people asking about RPGM4 either don't realize how new it is, or don't realize that if they want a more versatile design system they can get RPGM2.

RPGM3 definitely leaves me anxious for RPGM4. Considering the pattern of easy and versatile systems we can hopefully expect something that will look as good as RPGM3 and is as versatile as RPGM2. Still, I've got plenty to keep me busy with 3 while I wait for 4.

                          Thanks for the update.

Valk, I was a bit curious--I think I remember you saying that Tsukuru 4 was your favorite. Do you think that would have a lot of potential if it was translated and ported here? Were there any great features that we haven't seen before on (American versions) 1, 2, or 3?
