GameStop Doles Out The M-Rated Harshness

    http://kotaku.com/gaming/gamestop/ga...ess-234662.php

GameStop managers and employees better be on their toes the next time an 8 year-old comes in to pick up a copy of The Guy Game. In a conference call late last week, corporate explained the new policy on M-Rated game sales to minors. In short, you're fired. Not only are you fired, but your manager? Also fired.
    OHH YEEAAH!

The guy game was awesome. Anyone know if a sequel is in the works?

What this means is that I'm going to get carded every time I go in there to buy an M-rated game, even though I haven't looked under 18 for 8 years.

Hmmm....one time at Target, they asked me for my driver's license when I was purchasing Onimusha 3.

I'm sure you realized why once you started playing Onimusha 3.

Yup. Because they wanted to make sure I was really over 18 to take in all of Jean Reno's sexiness.

I'm sure they'll get some really stellar employees once they implement this great new policy that will result in even higher turnover.

Gamestop is why I order more and more of my games over the internets.

Cause you've never heard of Best Buy?

I'm old so I support this action. At least it's not some dumbass lawyer going after Rockstar again.

The Guy Game should never have been made.

Fun fact: One of the girls in the game was under aged. They got in a bit of trouble. Oh, and the game sucked.

As for the rated M mess.... I hope someone at my local EB Games gets fired. So that I can finally get a job there.

I can't really say it's a bad thing. The ESRB ratings are pretty much meaningless if stores don't even enforce them with direct sales to minors. Far busier stores card for alcohol and tobacco with few problems.

I think firing the manager on duty is way overkill, and will probably cause severe problems with turnover.

That'd be funny if every manager of Gamespot was fired

I kinda think the manager's manager's manager should be fired too
