IRC's Super Happy Fun Gif Contest. 1ST ANNUAL!

I was wondering if someone could make me a gif of my avatar which makes it look like the guy is flying through the air. Nothing fancy, just some kind of background stuff, it could just be lines like he's going super fast, and maybe have him moving up and down.

Here is the original pic if you need it.

As payment I will throw my laundry quarters(currently $4.75) into the air and however many land with the side you choose facing up I will mail them to you. Also if that is not incentive enough I will include some random thing from my apartment.

We could even call this a contest. You know what. That's what we're gonna do.

What do you use to do that? I've got Gimp and it's supposed to let me do gifs but I guess I don't have the right plug-in or whatever.

I use a bunch of programs together.

I have a great image editor called "Arcsoft PhotoStudio 4" which is an old version (up to 9 now I think) but I found it at A DOLLAR STORE!!

I just layer the images in there (backgrounds are from a fractal generator, oversized, layered under the borders, and moved for each frame).

Then I just compile in a gif animator.

Up until very recently I got by on Microsoft's free one, but I was just given ULead's as a gift. My color pallatte control is greatly improved, but that's the only advantage over the free one unless you like fancy effects that come pre-programmed.

I like making my own effects by hand!

I can make one with your background if you want...

I really did just miss the linked image!

And I have today off...

I HATE the way this came out.

If you want something like this I have all the bits saved in a layered file. It wouldn't take long to make a decent one.
