    Rogue Galaxy

    I just bought this for the PS2. I don't have time to play it tonight unfortunately, but I look forward to testing it out. I bought the game on a wim, something I don't usually do when it comes to video games, but I thought I'd risk it as it looked pretty good.

    From what I have heard it's a bit lacking in the story department, so I'm a bit worried. It comes from the same creators of Dark Cloud 2 and Dragon Quest VIII, two games I have never played. I've played Dark Cloud 1 and was a little disapointed, but I have high hopes for this.

    It kind of reminds me of Skies of Arcadia, a game I love to pieces. Anyway, has anyone heard of this or played it? If so, is it any good?

      Damn it's out.
      The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

          I'll check it out tomorrow. It was completely off my radar what with FFVI droping on Monday.

                I saw a video in EB Games a few months ago, and I was planning on getting it. It looks pretty sweet... Come on, its about pirates! How could it be bad?

                  Got pretty decent scores for the Japanese version, and then the localization team went a little nuts. Completely rebalanced combat, overhauled the special move system to make it button time sensitive, added an entirely new planet, several new subquests, changed the weapon creation system to make it more robust and easier to use, added 60 new weapons, overhauled the major mini-game and added a 2 Player Vs. mode to it, added in 2000 new lines of voiced dialogue, etc, etc.

                  One thing I can say is that the game is gorgeous. There was a part in the beginning where for a minute I was trying to figure out if it was being rendered in-game or was hand drawn animation.

                  Basically, they made the US version the equivalent of the upgraded version that so many Japanese games get (i.e. Kingdom Hearts Deep Dive or whatever, Final Fantasy VII International, etc, etc.). Except this time Japan doesn't get it (I don't believe it's been announced if they're porting over our port yet).

                    Wasn't that just the American version? Because they didn't get ruby/emerald/etc the first time around?

                        I bought Rouge Galaxy tonight, but i cant seem to find the little puff ball to apply it.

                        I also picked up Rogue Galaxy today, with the guide, and i'm hoping to get the chance to play it tonight.
