This is what I'm trying to figure out.

Apparently Barbaro did more for us than Mother Teresa.

Unless he did more for us than Mr. Horse, he's got nothing!

This reaction surprises me coming from an animal-lover.

            horse > 10,000 Iraqis

seriously though, it's a shame since a lot of people thought he was gonna pull through and get busy.

I just don't see why it's national news. The horse was the main story on CNN.com for a while. That's insane. I feel the same way about celebrity/sports news. I lump all that crap together in the "non-news" category.

I'm sure the people that paid obscene amounts of money for that horse are very sad right now. They did a lot to try and save it, but big deal. My mom paid hundreds of dollars for skin grafts after our cat suffered severe injuries from either a dog or another wild animal. It still died. No national or even local news reporters wanted to cover that story. OUTRAGEOUS!!!

                  A'ight. Fair enough.

Yeah - I don't care about Barbaro either.

He was a pleasant diversion from the typical ****storm. You don't doubt a horse's motivations for doing what it does, just enjoy the fact that this one ran so well.

Why was Seabiscuit so big? Why was the Miracle on Ice such a big deal? People look outside the world of politics when they need a pick-me-up.

Seabiscuit was small compared to Man O' War.

                          A race horse that died.
The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

Angelina Jolie's mom died Saturday. I saw it on Inside Edition this morning. Their segment about Barbaro was longer.

Woulda been more of a story if his head got chopped off by the mob.
