    Winter depression

Anyone else get hit by it yet? I was in a really bad funk for a few days over this weekend and I just couldn't get anything done and felt really tired...then I realized it had been snowing all weekend, been really cold out, and incredibly hard to drive anywhere stressing me the hell out. I think I've gotten over it for now, but I hate winter depression.

Yeah, it's getting too cold for my daily walk by the river and that's bumming me out.

I've been hit by it, but it has nothing to do with winter.

I'm an outside person, and when its cold like this, I get irritated and frustrated because there isnt anything to do inside...I hate winter, I wish the warm weather would hurry up and get here

Here I come Pav, like the Kool-Aid man barging into a funeral! Oh yeah!

I stay indoors all the time, I love not being a social butterfly.

I love winter. I get depressed in the spring, because the snow is gone.

I get depressed during the summer because its too hot and I can't go outside. Winter is great! Nice and cold, just the way I like it.

It's not only because of the weather.

I mean, I got it really bad when I lived in Canada. But I still get it here in California, where it aint cold at all. I think it also comes from all the holidays, end of year/beginning of year stuff and so on. I had it pretty bad in December, but since I quit my job I've been feeling pretty good.

What's weird is that I prefer winter weather. I love rain/snow/etc. But I am generally more happy during the other seasons.

Well being that i'm uni-polar it is very rare for me to get depressed now!

One theroy why people get into a funk during the winter months is that us humans used to Hibernate once upon a time. But we have now lost the process of going into, maintaining, and coming out of hibernation.

Something similar is obtainble present day:

If you're uni-polar and not depressed, then you're just manic. Which also isn't a good thing.
