I got the equip any weapon cheat,and it worked, but I still have a problem

I got the code to work the only problem I have is this:
My character is an archer and I equipped him with a sword.
When he battles he has the sword in his hand but doesn't use the sword,
instead he shoot arrows with the sword.
What's up with that?

The game was never intended to be used the way the cheat works, so you're stuck with what you got, sucks, but hey, at least you can do more with some characters.

Yep, no way to correct that, but it can make for some pretty cool effects (IMO) if you use the right combinations of characters and weapons.

Yeah. In the case of equiping an elf or archer with a sword, if give the sword a color effet, you might imagine a magical sword that can fire bursts of energy (I don't know if the color applies to the arrows).

On a side note, whatever weapon you equip a character, they still keep the posture they would have used for the weapon they would normally have. For example, I equiped a Lizardman with a Dagger, and it held the dagger in a wierd way, as if the dagger's handle was much longer then it looked. The Lizardman also swung the weapon the same way as it would an axe.
