Videogame music live concert at Hollywood Bowl in July

According to the Hollywood Bowl website, July 6, 2005 at 8:00 pm the Los Angeles Philharmonic orchestra will be performing a full orchestra and choir performance of video game music from various series. There will also be a laser and light sequences, clips, live characters (people in outfits?), and a segment dedicated to arcade classics.

The show is set to include music from Halo, Metal Gear Solid, Warcraft, Medal of Honor, Tron, Myst, Tomb Raider, Advent Rising, Sonic the Hedgehog, Headhunter, and Beyond Good and Evil. Tickets are currently on sale at the Hollywood Bowl website, and range from $1 (I bet parking is more expensive) to $92.

Guh. They should have picked better series. I don't even remember Halo having music, and anything relating to Tomb Raider should die. MGS, Sonic, Warcraft, yeah, I can see those. I don't even know what Advent Rising is.

But this is cool in that they're doing it.

The only memorable video game music in my opinion was-

The Wild Arms series
Final Fantasy series
Mario series
Sonic series
and maybe a select other RPG song here and there.

Ugh, I give up. I have to play WA1 again and enjoy it, and cry and smile at all of it's beauty.
