1-up feature about video game cartoons

by one of my friends. she's canadian, so excuse the renaming of "saturday supercade" to "saturday starcade"

I'm amazed at how many of these I never even saw. I only ever saw captain N, megaman and mario.

    No mention of Mortal Kombat.

I've seen most of the Sonic ones, the Megaman, the Mario Super Show, Captain N, Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, and Double Dragon.

I loved Darkstalkers, and was unaware that it was a video game before it was a cartoon.

I didn't even know some of these shows even existed. Only ones I knew about were
Captain N (seen very little of)
SMB Super Show (seen a bunch of, I think)
        Zelda (didn't see)
Mario 3 (seen a bunch of)
Mario World (probably seen all of, since I saw so many of the episodes so many times)
Donkey Kong Country (seen, and I liked it considering how off it seemed)
Sonic Adventure (seen and loved as a kid, especially this one instance when Sonic scribbles on Dr. Robotnik's face on the monitor and...)
SatAM (seen, and to me the more seriousness of it was the same as the more seriousness of the second? TMNT cartoon, both of which I liked)
might've seen Sonic Underground, but maybe not, as I don't remember there being three Sonic cartoons being around back then
Pac-Man (seen, don't remember much of it aside from "P-p-p-p-pak...Power!!!")
Earthworm Jim (Awesome Cartoon, wish it aired longer)
Reboot (saw some of, but I didn't get a whole lot interested)

Pokemon (duh, I saw it; stopped watching not far into the Advance series; liked it better when it was still in the Kanto League)
        Digimon (saw very little of)
Kirby (watched for a while, but then it seemed to get redundant)
Sonic X (watched the first one or two seasons until Sonic became Super Sonic for the first time)
Megaman NT Warrior (watched some of, but I became uninterested in it like with a lot of the Kids' WB shows of late)
        F-Zero (haven't watched)

          Q-BERT?!

Never watched the Saturday Supercade, I think I was still a fetus. Everything else I watched at least once though. Most of them I watched a LOT more than once.

I've got a Captain N tape around here SOMEWHERE.

I saw all those oldies except the supercade ones. They were probably stupid anyway.

The future isn't looking too bright, with all the "OMG GOTTA CATCH 'EM ALL!!!111" cartoons.

I used to watch these all the time as a kid. I would set my alarm to 6 am, and watch these shows on public channel. They even had laser tag show along with these.

I saw Sonic X for the first time today.

                God, it was terrible.

You know, sometimes I can't decide which is better: Earthworm Jim or Freakazoid. Both of them had a "WTF" craziness about them.

And I'm probably the only person on earth that watched the Dragon Warrior cartoon as a kid regularly.

                        Never saw it.

You know, I can't imagine how much practice it must've taken the cast of Earthworm Jim to pronounce "Queen Pulsating, Bloated, Festering, Sweaty, Pus-Filled, Malformed, Slug-For-A-Butt" without getting tongue-tied.

I remember Earthworm Jim being a rewarding viewing experience but I doubt it stands the test of time... maybe a DVD release could prove/disprove that?

                          AND CAPTAIN N'S HILARIOUS.

God, Captain N... I watched that show religiously when I was 5-6. His companions... Mega Man, Kid Icarus(who always said stupid crap-icus)... can't remember the other characters, except the Mother Brain(supposed to be taken from Metroid, but come on), and that princess whoever. What game was she supposed to be from!?

I watched the Super Mario Super Show too. It had Captain Lou Albano as Mario then they'd play some cartoons.

I also saw a Zelda cartoon, but i barely remember any of it.
