Yeah, I need help...

I'm about to lose a girlfriend who is very special to me. Now, I want to show her how much I love her, by making all kinds of things for her, just showing her what she makes me capable of.

The first item I want to make would be a well-drawn picture from me. I need to know what type of art program I need to make one of my pictures just bad-ass, ya know? I can scan my pics in to be edited by any art program, so anyone experienced with Photoshop, could you help me? Now the picture I invision, is of my charcter Leon, standing in a field of grass and flowers, holding a heart. And in the sky would be a picture of her. Now, what would I need to go about creating such a background?

I post this in the Free Forum instead of the Imaginari, because this place recieves more members viewing. And I don't have much time Please help me, yeah? I really want to express how much I love her, but my skills in art programs to edit my pics sucks.

Draw leon. Draw some grass. Draw a heart. Paste her picture.

You don't need any software for this. Stick to what you know, and glue her picture in a drawing.

If showing her what you're capable of is asking people online how to draw, that's not really coming from the heart, is it?

Answer these questions:

How did you meet?

Was it a mutual attraction?

Did you initate it or did she?

Do you share similiar intrests?

How would you, honestly say the relationship has been going?

Is she really the "Special" one?

Communication is very important in a relationship.The most rational thing is to not draw her a picture...but to bluntly ask her why she is doing this. If she cannot back up her reason with Logic and examples. Then she was never worth your time to begin with.

I'm much better at Paint Shop than Photoshop, but I think I can help with part of your project. Colorize the picture of the gf, and choose BLUE as the hue. This will make the white parts look like clouds, and the monotone blue parts should look like sky. You may need to clean up the background a bit, so that it looks more like sky. Also, you might try 'skewing' the picture, so that it looks like it's in proper perspective (going off in the distance). It's a balance between perspective and looking like Dexter, but just futz around with it until you get the balance right.

If you do it right, I have faith that you can do it without coming off like a clingy stalker...just make sure the emphasis is on the overall visual effect of the work, not the message...that should be very, very subtle.

Personally, I think this is sweet...but then I'm a sentimental sap.

It probably won't WORK, but it's sweet. If she's going to leave, no artwork in the universe will make her stay...it will just make it harder for her to go.

She did. She sent me a message on myspace after she bumped into me the day of my brothers birthday.

Not really, but We both love playing Super Smash Bros, and we enjoy each other's music plus she thinks I'm really funny.

Honestly, it was going good until we both got mad at each other.

Yeah, she's smart, first off. She has honors classes. She is insanely gorgeous to me as well.


I know this, everyone has been telling me this. We used to talk almost every single day. I've already asked her why, and she couldn't answer clearly. And I want to draw her the picture because she loves the hybrids of my pics and her photos that I ( and my brother helps with too) do. And if you ask me, she's just confused right now. She doesn't believe that I love her. In fact that's the only reason for this whole ordeal. She thinks this one college guy with tons of slutty girls on his myspace page loves her :/ So, I'm just trying to prove that I love her and need her more than him. That's why I'm making a picture, a poem and having flowers delivered to her and whatever romantic stuff I can think of/afford.

After I'm done with a rough draft of the drawing, I'll post it here. I'm trying to get everything right in six days, before I totally give up.

Whatever, I'm actually looking for help on the art programs please. I've made my decision that I'm gonna try and work this out. And please, it's not crap alright?

Photoshop 7.0
Paint

Currently, I'm practicing on an old picture with Photoshop, and I plan to combine both images, the artwork and the photo, in Fireworks. Does that seem like a good idea?
