So far, all the changes are going great. What are the changes, you may ask?
Well, I'm streamlining everything on the site. The old system was really clumsy, and updates were a bit complicated because of it. Every single page on the pavilion site was actually a forum topic. each section of the pavilion site had it's own hidden forum. For example, there was an articles forum. that's where the article page was stored. the actual articles were stored in a forum called articles2. this ate up a lot of space, and you had to hunt down topics in closed/hidden forums whenever you wanted to update or change these pages. Yes, it sucked. It was the best that the vBulletin CMPS system could do at the time though.
Now if you head to the articles section, you'll see what has changed. the pages in that area are not connected in any way to the forums, or topics within them. This will let me delete the old forums that were used for this purpose, and the topics in them. It no longer has links for replies, ratings, and all the other crap associated with the topic-based system from before.
Every part of the site except the game listings are going to be converted to this. Why not the game listings? because I know you all appreciate being able to see at any time how many downloads your games have gotten, and any replies made to the submission topics.
This is just one of the changes that are in progress though. this is meant only to improve the functionality of site.
