This is actually quite interesting. According to some articles I've been reading (sorry, no links), Sony has actually REFUSED to lend the Blu-Ray format to pornography. On top of this, I've read other stories that say small studios are leaning toward HD-DVD because it's cheaper to manufacture the discs anyway.
VHS and DVD were adopted by porn and that decided the format war. Will it be the same this time around? It will be interesting to see...but personally, I think big titles & franchises will decide who wins (the Lord of the Rings & Matrix trilogies have been announced for HD-DVD and not Blu-Ray).
