    Gift Cards and CC

I ordered about $100 worth of things on circuitcity.com using a gift card thursday. Now the units have yet to be shipped out, most likely they are getting shipped on the 10th and wont arrive until thr 19th.

I go back to school on the 14th

My question is that if I used a gift card and cancel my order, will the amount be returned to the card?

The website is down right now for product updates, so I can't check it out myself. Can anyone help me out?

EDIT: Heh, just realised that this could just go in the Free Forum. I bought Video Games though so I thought to put it here. Could a mod/admin please move it if you wouldn't mind.

It's all a conspiracy man.... they put you on the back burner because you're using a gift card, not a credit card....and notice how the website went down right when you wanted to cancel? You're gonna log back on and its gonna say it got shipped out early....so you cant cancel the order....

Well I canceled my order, then called up the customer service. They said in 5-10 business days I should have my $100 back in the card.

why does it take 5-10 days? I never understood that about places....you use your card and they take the money out right then, but when you return something they make you wait 5 days

I was thinking the same thing about rebates. I just got an email informing me that my mail in rebate for an SD card I bought at Best Buy is now being processed. This a couple months after I submitted it. They give me like 10 days after purchase to submit the rebate but then they take their sweet time even starting to process it. That's just wrong.
