If it's not, I hope it's the main character from wherever it came from.

That's UNCHI-KUN. He hails from Penguin Village (home of Dr. Slump), and his name means "*****!"

You can read about his adventures in the Dr. Slump manga, which debuts in May.

There is a whole episode of the anime dedicated to him. I showed it to my friends at a party and their brains melted. It was fantastic.

The latter-mentioned is probably the best plane you can get in that game.

John Mora

Is that based on the anime?

I thought it was called something else.
My bad.

But yes, I got that plane right before I died on my last continue. It was pretty sweet.

EDIT- I don't know if it's based on the anime, cause I haven't seen it. But I'm guessing since it has the same characters...

I remember seeing the game in an arcade a long time ago, too. Each character used a different plane. The planes they used are the same ones they fly in the demos when you leave the game at the title for a while.

Gregg is my favorite flight simulation game character. Ever.

Greg Gates is my pilot of choice, too. Glad you got the game! It's a tough one alright. I never did beat the damn thing, but I'll leave that up to you.

P.S. I like your poop.

Even on easy this game is still tough~

My brother once bought this game when I was like 8 years old. I could never get past the last boss on that secret super hard mode.

The Megacrush weapon kicked ass though. I liked how the Efreet could store two.

Personally, I really liked the Thunderbolt plane. I'm going from memory, so I don't recall many others besides the Tigershark, Tom Cat and Referee.

Looks like a fun game, I wish I had played it before.

I'll have to keep my eye out for it if I ever see any used SNES games out there.

The lack of rapid/repeat/auto fire is the only thing I don't like.

Unchi-kun makes a new friend.
Soooo happy. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v89/Nixon/gokunchi.jpg)

I remember seeing that game all the time at blockbuster, and always passing on it because the box art made me think it was a flight simulator or something.

I rented this with a friend, once.
We kept getting the floor wiped with us but it was soooo fun!

Where's Ryu? I've been meaning to tell him about this game but forgot it's name for the longest time.

You should start looking at the screenshots on the back then. :p
