    I'll Be Over There Again

Well, Christmas break is pretty much over, and I'm heading back to Newcastle for University. Unfortunately, that means I'll be disappearing again until I gain a stable connection in my living space.

Hopefully one that isn't haunted by a friggin' soccer player.

    Steak pies, here I come!

      No, Newcastle up Northbridge.

Seriously, I am indeed referring to the Gateshead neighbor.

I was just asking because I lived in Newcastle upon Tyne for a year. :-P

Geordie accents took a long time to comprehend for a little 11-year-old Belizean.

hopefully the soccer ghost is out of your internet connection by now.

I still think you should have edited his wikipedia entry to include that.

Re: I'll Be Over There Again

                        Blah, flight's now on Monday.

Some soccer player named Anthony Letallec lived in the spot we're currently renting and did not cancel his Internet service with Orange telecom, therefore preventing my BT Broadband service from working. I finally managed to have his account deleted late November, and even then, my connection simply wouldn't go through.

Apparently, the only way I can eradicate this relentless DSL spirit is by changing my phone number. I'll try that when I return.

His Wikipedia article has been fixed.

Sadly, it was removed. No matter, here it is:

Anthony Le Tallec (born October 3, 1984 in Hennebont, Brittany, France) is a French football player, who plays as a forward or an attacking midfielder. He plays for Sochaux, on loan from Liverpool.

He was signed from Le Havre by Liverpool in 2001, along with his cousin Florent Sinama-Pongolle. This was after impressive performances for the French national youth team in the European Under-16 and World Under-17 Championships in 2001. He was awarded the 'Silver Ball' as the second best player (behind his cousin) as France won the latter tournament.

For the 2005-06 season he joined Sunderland on loan in a bid to gain some more first team football, saying that "I am a competitor and I want to play all the time, but with Liverpool it was impossible. I chose to come to Sunderland because I need to play every week". In a disappointing season for the club, he was its top scorer with only five goals in all competitions. He scored a header against Fulham that helped Sunderland pick up their only home win all season.

In May 2006, he completed his loan period and Sunderland announced they would not be looking to retain his services. He returned to Liverpool but has not been given a squad number by Rafael Benitez, which suggests he is likely to leave the club again. At the end of the month he joined up with the France U21 for the European U-21 Championship, which took place May 23–June 4, 2006 in Portugal. Le Tallec only featured in France's final group match, after they had already secured qualification, and he was substituted after 61 minutes. In August 2006 he moved to Sochaux on another loan deal.

Le Tallec is notorious for having a microscopic penis, much to the amusement of his colleagues. His vengeful ghost is also said to haunt the phonelines of the Baltic Quay Apartments complex in Gateshead, Tyne & Wear. Further attempts are eradication are underway.
