    Super Man: Red Son

I've kind been out of the flow of comics for around five years now, and I still can't believe that I just found this book. Definitly one of the best comics I have ever read. The idea of Superman landing in Communist Russia instead of Smallville was enough for me to pick it up, and it still exceeded my already high expectations. On this forum full of other geeks, I am sure that I am far behind, but just in case anyone else hasn't read it, please do.

i haven't read that one but I have heard of it. I don't really get into DC much but I like the alternate history stuff. I do have Superman: The Dark Side where he lands on Apokolips instead of Earth and Darkseid raises him as a living weapon to destory Earth but in the end he ends up turning good. It's pretty good.

So instead of an S he has the Hammer and Sickle.

Because there are no S's in Russia...

Because a communist shield makes for a great symbol.

How do you even say Superman in Russian?

The S is supposed to be his family symbol, not necessarily short for Superman.
