Is '24' growing stale and getting lame?

For the last three weeks I would say that it is. I've always watched the show with a suspension of disbelief because I knew they couldn't keep everything "real" for long. We already know that L.A. is the size of your local small town U.S.A. on the show. But two episodes ago Jack went from CTU to some terrorist's house that they just learned of in about two minutes?! WTF?! And when Chloe came back she went from disheveled and eating popcorn to full business suit and fixed up hair in less than ten minutes? NO WOMAN THAT I KNOW CAN DO THAT! It would have taken them at least half an hour!

OK, and those are minor discrepancies. The last three episodes have been very ho-hum in general. I just think they are running out of ideas. Fox promised in the last episode "a twist so shocking that it would change the way you think of '24'". Yeah, great twist: I saw it coming three episodes ago, and it didn't shock me then or when it happened. Now they are really stretching it. I give them one more week, and if I'm not impressed, then I'm changing my signature.

Yeah, I guess it sort of sucks that I just started watching the show this season.

I'll have to grab the DVDs.

Well it's been what four seasons in a year and a half. Over saturation.
The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

        ...Uh... no.

It's been four seasons in FOUR YEARS. And really, that part about FOX's advertising a shocking "twist" is really FOX's fault, isn't it? Kinda like how ABC spoiled who was going to die on Lost last night before the person actually died.

But it was pretty obvious since last week who was kaput on Lost. I'm upset they didn't even try to pull the rug out from under us like they LOVE TO.

          Still a solid-as-hell episode though.

          ...

          24!!?!

Magus, what I meant was that whole GMA thing about "WE'RE GONNA HAVE THE ONE PERSON EVERYONE'S GONNA BE TALKING ABOUT TOMORROW" when it had been publicized earlier that Boone was going to be on the show. Like, earlier than last week.

About 24, yes, I stopped watching at season 3.

              About Lost, ABC sucks.

I just think that we've reached a point in Season 4 where not much is happening. It was bound to get here. I still prefer this over COUGARS and DIRTY MEXICANS.

Well 24 is getting kind of stale(just as anything Tom Clancy related did years ago), but the time nitpicks are pretty silly. If it took 20 minutes for a person to shower, change, and get to CTU, almost half the show would've been over and nothing significant would've happened(unless Chloe was shown naked in the shower, not that I'd want that...maybe). It's kind of strange, but they had to keep it in the constraint of one hour.

24's still putting some twists out there. It's just that FOX is spoiling some of them, for God knows why.

my only complaint about 24 is that every terrorist organization in the entire country is located just a few blocks away from CTU.

Not really, just the ones we see. It's not like these were four consecutive days.

You do know it's called the Idiot Box right?

And your still watching it... and complaining?

I was never interested in 24... I admit, it was a cool concept when it first came out, but the format is a minefield for discrepancies like the ones you mention.

                              And ****ing ****s.

I would've watched the whole series but Kim was such a ****ing annoyance and her subplot was so assdumb I stopped after the first episode.

I kinda regret that considering all the jizzing that goes on here.
