    This reminds me of a story I saw on the local news and website. I was expecting it to be national news cuz they made a big deal out of it. Next day? NOTHING. They even took down the story the next day and I couldn't find anything about it. All I had was a broken link in my favorites as evidence.

    Guys at work were talking about this, and mentioning how there were hyrogliffs at the Mayan temples, and they tried elongating their heads so they could look like the "ones from above." Interesting stuff.

    Still, what do you think? How much is truth and how much is BS?

    I am agnostic on UFOs. I love reports like this. I'm with "Contact" here. I think the universe is much too big for it to all be empty. But that doesn't mean that ehe life is right next door--it could be too far away. I'm also a bit of a conspiracy theorist in that I don't trust our government one bit. It could be extra-terrestial. But sometimes I think all of this could just be the government covering up experiments they are doing. I wish I had enough information to know.

        As far as I'm concerned, UFOs are just that. We don't know what the object is. I've always wanted to shoot one down to see what it is, but I doubt I'll ever get the chance.

        I'm also a bit of a conspiracy theorist in that I don't trust our government one bit.

          I believe that makes you an average american, atreides.

          As for UFOs, my thoughts are about the same a Toecutter's. Especially, the whole wanting to shoot them down thing.... but that is my solution to everything.

              I believe there is other life, but I don't think UFO's are alien space ships just flyin' around.

              Either Goverment experiments, or people just being idiots.

                It was a cloud.
                "Our theory on this is that it was a weather phenomenon," Cory said. "That night was a perfect atmospheric condition in terms of low (cloud) ceiling and a lot of airport lights. When the lights shine up into the clouds, sometimes you can see funny things."

                  It happens all the time!

                  I blame the weather for smashing a ball of lightning against a car, during a car wreck. It had nothing to do with someone else's car hitting it, no. It was the weather.
                  Better yet: A WEATHER BALLOON!!

                  The weather drank my coffee.
                  The weather made a ball of lightning which followed an aircraft like a heat seaking missile, it happens all the time!

                    Before information on the stealth fighters was released to the public, many of the planes were classified as UFOs. I'm about to watch Kire's video as well. I may comment on it if I have enough time.

                      I have to agree with atreides on this, the universe is too big for us to be the only forms of life, but why do people always assume they're more intelligent then us? Granted if they're not more intelligent we'd have no way of meeting them, but just because we could be the most intelligent things in space(hahaha) doesn't mean nothing else exists.

                      Also I think if they do exists and they come around every so often, theres no way we can communicate with them, because we've evolved on completely different planets, what we think is a friendly gesture may be a violent offensive maneuver where they're from, plus I doubt the government could communicate with extra terrestrial life forms and not have the public aware of it, its just impossible to do

                      I think what they're trying to cover up is top secret aircraft, like the F-117 and the YF-22 when they first started being developed...maybe the U.N. needs to inspect us for weapons of mass destruction and put import sanctions on us

                        If you try all reasonable ranges of the parameters of the Drake Equation, there is a sizable possibility that we are the only intellegent life in our universe. But then again, the values of these parameters are highly debated.

                              I woke my eyes after a little sleep realizing lights shining through my window. Me being the little coward I am close my eyes hoping it was the moon or something else. Anyway after going back to sleep I wake up about 30 minutes later in a very dark room with about 50 other people. I was lying down on a hard cold floor and stood up at some shouts from some guy who kept on screaming the word "NO!" Then I saw some guy showig a few other humans one of their gun type things that put people to sleep when they would take them out of the room one by one. They were going to try and take over the ship I think. Then after watching them clash for about 5 minutes an alien came up behind me while I was just standing there watching and got me with one of the sleeping guns. Then I woke up back in my bed looked out the window and saw the lights fade away. I am very serious about this too.
