    Final Fantasy 11 memories

    Gooood lord...
The game has been over for me for over 2 and a half years...
But every time I listen to the damn music it takes me back, and it is scary...
I played the game for 1 month straight out of the 3 months I played it in all.
How many hours I have no idea I have no calculator near me.
    This game ****s me up.....

I swear it was like I was in Hawaii or something without the tan..
When I think back I was totally somewhere else that I remember "being"
All I remember is all these virtual memories that actually took place, it is totally ****ed up....lol

Rolanberry fields with Jspaceman when I stripped down to nothing and waited for him to show up, when he finally showed up turning to him and saying "j I have been waiting for this for soo long." as I sit so calm then he freaks out lol that memory kills me lol
    I can't even list them all....sooo many....
There realllly was soooo many great times on that game...
It's weird they are memories I will never forget for the rest of my life.
If you forget just listen to "Gustaberg"
    God that song kills me..
Also a note to Jspaceman I created my own lyrics to the song "The Republic of Bastok" for you 1 week after I finished playing the game in my car, lol, one day I will sing it for you.
    Ohh **** its classic.
    What great times!
Also when I quit I felt sick for weeks, the first few days I wanted to puke, I remember watching Rainman on tv and forcing myself to not get off the couch to reinstall FF11 on my PS2 HD. I had to hold myself back with drinking beer.
I had to keep telling myself "no" "drink andother beer" "let it go"
I was like a crack addict, it was strangely really hard for me.
I can finally talk about these things now.

It was a lot of fun for me, but also a giant pain. Part of me wanted to stay so I could live in Jugner forest, cutting logs from trees and beating up the wildlife. I still miss crafting fireworks to toss on people, but my art and personal life were suffering and that's something I can't stand for too long.

I missed it for about a day, then each day after that I felt better and better. I sold almost all of my stuff for fireworks and deleted my characters when I quit so I wouldn't be able to return. I gave away the nice stuff that I had received as a gift, maybe those virtual items are still floating around somewhere...

For me, the best part of any MMORPG is getting to hang out and mess around with my friends. That's why I'm still playing PSU. :P

I remember the first day I spent playing FFXI. It was all so new, i had never played a MMORPG before and I was just trying to figure out the controls (i never look at instruction manuals, i just press buttons to figure it out). I was running around and just followed someone into one of the shops in Bastok just to look around. That guy leaves, and the doors end up closing. I was stuck cuz i had no idea how to open doors yet, so I had to wait for someone else to come around.

Then later I'm in gustaberg killing small stuff, and I finally met jspaceman and got a linkpearl from him

      Now some pics...

        this is amazing.

i was grinning ear to ear when that
        happened, serge.

i think about ffxi a lot too. it is a
shame for me that all the things
that were wrong with it really
        made me angry...because there
was so much that i loved.

        perhaps it was almost perfect.

        i wouldnt trade the experiences
        for anything.

i'm glad it wasn't my first mmorpg or i would have been so very lost. it was still miles away from what i'd played before.

good memories! playing with people i knew was a blast, though most of them were usually pretty far away from my level. there was also alot of fun to be had once i became a bst and skipped out on parties. and the race! and just bumming around with people doing nothing. it was really an amazing game, mostly due to the human interaction element. wouldn't have been the same without people and all their wacky, weirdness.

after awhile the only thing that kept me from going back was i knew all my hard work had been deleted, and that ****** me off a bit.

Ah, I have a lot of memories about FFXI. Unfortunately, a lot of them aren't good ones.

While a lot of my experiences have been good, there were far too many instances where I've been called names, ridiculed and embarrassed for being too low level and not knowing half the time what the **** I was even doing in a party. I remember spending an entire Saturday waiting in Jeuno for a party--only never to get one invite. I could have gone shopping or went to the beach.

Anyways, I just wasn't good at FFXI. I ended up quitting when the Linkshell I joined split up due to issues between its leader and an absentee member.

The game is suitable only for people who have a lot of time to spare, and are truly hardcore gamers.

I've never played one like this, never had the time, nor the right equipment to

But anyways the people you experienced Misty you shouldn't let get you down on the experiences of the game as a whole, they don't think about when they were new to the game and didn't know anything, plus ignorant people like that only gets their laughs from picking on people of a lower level, because they're too ******* scared to pick on someone near their own level.

Don't let a few bad eggs get in the way of good memories Misty, don't let them have their way, forget them

Here I come Pav, like the Kool-Aid man barging into a funeral! Oh yeah!

Mine were mixed due to having a crappy modem that kept kicking me off.

I had lots of fun when I was with the other pavs, but I was constantly annoyed by having to wait hours to find a party.

My memories of the game are rather short. I went to gamestop to buy it, bought it, when I got home I realized that I had to pay a fee, then returned it.

                    Aw, thanks JPS!

Despite all the bad things that have happened with me in the game, I made some really good friends when I was a member of their Linkshell. We used to do a lot of events every weekend, but I didn't actually participate in the Promathia Promyvion-runs with them until I was about Level 35 or so. Good, good times.

Two players from that Linkshell became a RL couple right before my eyes, which I thought was neat. They broke up after a year though.

And the leader of that Linkshell was a close friend of mine whom I know in real life. He was totally committed to leading our Linkshell after the previous leader quit the game. Though the dedication is quite admirable, it had a detrimental effect on his real life.

We also had our moments of drama, too, unfortunately. I've seen a lot of heated fights, broken friendships and people just being complete jerks. As I mentioned before, there was the absentee member who promised to join us in events when we needed her, but skipped out on us when she joined OTHER parties doing the same runs. Of course, our LS leader was pretty ****** about that and removed her from the ranks. To make a long story short, everybody got into a squabble, taking sides and making accusations--until finally the entire LS fell into utter ruin.

I DO miss playing FFXI because of all the friends I've made and the good times I had with them, but I don't find myself going back to it again.
