    Spell Check?

    I noticed if I spell a word wrong it's underlined now...is that new?

    EDIT TO ADD
    I remember I upgraded to the newest version of Firefox last night, and obviously it has a built in spell check feature...I just noticed that a few my posts in other forums are underlined also

    I think it's just a feature of Vbulletin that requires you to upgrade your browser to use.
    The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

      Oh ok, yeah I started typing and a word was underlined and I was like "wait a minute...I didn't underline that!" then I noticed it was misspelled so I corrected it and it disappeared....

        Actually pretty sure it's just a Firefox 2.0 feature.

        I guess it's possible it's also a VBulletin feature but I doubt it. It's just a feature I'm sure the other browsers will be adding soon, and has probably been an add-on for a while. It is really nice as I usually mistype a lot of words.

        If it were a feature of the boards it would use a lot of bandwidth, and likely only be a button, and then it would run the spell check, to save always running it.

              No, because the spell checker thing was in the post reply screen but it never worked for me because I had to download a plug-in, but when I upgraded Firefox it worked fine. That and I'm pretty sure it works on IE at work.

                You're talking about EZboard right? Because there is no spell check button here.

                And yes, the red underline is Firefox 2's doing. You can turn it on and off by right-clicking the text field and checking the "Spell check this field" thing.
                Only reason I mention that is because mine sometimes starts as Off for some reason.

                  cow, why in the world did you give me two negative feedbacks in the same topic back to back? of all things complaining about me quoting people right above me...what in the world is wrong with that? I work hard for my positive reps and you take four away in one post for such a stupid reason, you don't give negative feedback on peoples posting preferences, if I want to quote the person right above me, I can, don't give me 2 negative comments on the SAME TOPIC just because you have a problem with me, just ignore me, thats what its there for!

                  And by the way, when I reply to someones comment I always quote them in case someone replies to the topic before I get done posting, prevents the whole "who is he talking to?" thing...pretty basic common sense stuff if you think about it

                    You are acting retarded about this. Since you feel so strongly about your reputation points I gave you three points back. Good luck on your precious third Gobli.

                    Secondly I can pretty much give you negative rep for anything. If I think I should I will. Personally I think this was alot more valid than something petty like revenge neg rep. I guess I was overestimating everyone else when I assumed that they could follow along with the ebb and flow of a conversation. I just happen to think that direct quoting someone right above you is redundant and unnecessary and I thought leaving you the rep comments would be better than making a public stink about it.

                        I thought it was here. When Firefox switched to the auto-spell check the button went away. I guess it might have been that weekend when Valk closed these boards and opened the back up ezboard.

                          There is a spell-check function here, but you have to click the icon (ABC with a check mark) and download a plug-in for it to work.

                            nah, its fine here also, sorry super I was just in a bad mood thats all, and 2 bad reps kinda put me over the edge, so sorry everyone, esp. super

                            I honestly don't know what you have against me, but whatever it is I hope it's gone eventually...and I also know that revenge negative rep was childish and I shouldn't have done it, but like I said, I was mad and I apologize for it, so you're cool, just caught me at a bad time thats all

                              Firefox 2 has a spellchecker implanted into it. If that needed clarification still. I kinda got lost when the fighting started.
