Re: Need a bullet proof car? Buy one online!
I have a hard time believing this, especially when their real website is here, I think its a fraudulent website.
TAC is based in San Antonio, TX, so why is there another website with a duplicate ad saying to call a 877(Idaho) number to order?

TAC only has one building and has no outside representatives, and even if they did I don't think they'd allow them to duplicate their website and call them for ordering
The real website does not give prices(I didnt see any), so I think these people are overcharging, ordering the car themselves, and delivering to the customer to make easy money, or just taking their money and not even delivering the car, very bad business ethics...

Re: Need a bullet proof car? Buy one online!
Making my car bulletproof could be done a lot simpler, if I had access to a vaccum mold for building carbon fibre/ kevlar composite for the body. Lexan to replace the windshield and windows may not be street legal, but it is bulletproof(lexan won't stop a .50 rifle, but it will stop a .22 or 9mm if thick enough).
It would be dreadfully expensive.Last edited by The Toecutter; 12-21-2006, 07:47 PM.The unnecessary felling of a tree, perhaps the growth of centuries, seems to me a crime little short of murder." ~ Thomas Jefferson

And Lexan yellows over timeand scratches very easily
but yeah Id take a stab at creating my own bulletproof car the spending $80,000 on a armored car, and that doesnt even include the price of the car or the armor upgradesLast edited by JPS; 12-21-2006, 08:00 PM.
