You start of as a young boy named joe who wants to be a detective he gets his wish (i dont know how im working on it) when weird things start happening find finger prints, weapons, blood, and much more. When he investigates the so called kidnapping of 2 girls (many other side csi based quests that link to this one). He finds out that ghost and zombies have done all those things only armed with a stick for the first part of the game. Its actually pretty fun scale out.

Sounds good, see you still don't punctuate descriptions though
Seeing you post so much now it's hard to believe you were the one to post this one though

Nothing, I remember you having one post posting that and everyone got on you about it, I'm actually quite surprised you stuck around with all the trouble we gave ya, but then again we give trouble to all the new guys, they definately gave it to me when I startedAnyways the game sounds like a good idea, if you want to keep his name Joe then go ahead, its it sort of original, how many characters out of all the games out there are named Joe? Only a handful if that

That would suck, I hope I get hints, especially if they're hidden in fieldsOriginally posted by Perversion View PostSomething tells me that this might include a lot of invisible events that you will continually have to click the X button to find...as in, looking for hidden clues.

Sounds...umn...not too interesting. The idea of it is fun, but you haven't posted any sort of demo for the other game you finished, so I'm more liable to skip over this idea.
I still have a question, do you use the same syntax in your game that you use in the forums?

Re: Storyline! working on it check it out.
Ha, ha...I would imagine he does, which is one more reason not to think too much about this game. Let me spell it out to you, Grims, because apparently it was revealed to you in your other post about your idea, but you did not get the message. If you continue to type your posts like you did not graduate from middle school English class, people are going to see that, and assume your game is the same way. You have all the time in the world to compose your posts using proper grammar and punctuation before hitting "submit." This is not IM, where that sort of thing might be considered acceptable. Basically, what I'm saying is that if you cannot take the time to compose complete sentences and follow the proper rules of English in your posts, why would there be any incentive for anyone else to play your games? If you are making a game for yourself, that's fine, because you should be able to understand what you are trying to say. If you expect other people here at the boards to play your game, most people will either download it and not want to play due to having to decipher what you are trying to say, or will remember these posts, and realize that your game is not worth the download.
Now, I'm not trying to dissuade you from making your game. RPG Maker is a great creative outlet. I'm just warning you in advance that if your game gets more than 10 downloads in the first six months, you should consider yourself lucky. Look at Fatal Insanity as a guide for how NOT to make a RPGM game.
Please try to take to heart what I'm telling you, Grims, and maybe if you work on your ideas and the words with which you are trying to convey those ideas, you might have something that someone might want to play. Good luck!

Re: Storyline! working on it check it out.
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on grammar, that doesn't really bother me. What DOES bother me is the way you simply abandoned everything that you had going in your other game. And it's your right to do so, of course--but I've seen a lot of newbs (especially at GFAQs) post about their ideas when their games are about 1% complete, and soonafter dump it and start the cycle over several times. I just hope you don't do the same thing.
I'd really recommend to people that haven't yet published a single game, that they wait to post about their "great new game" until they've already gotten at least CLOSE to the point at which they can release a demo. I'm at 15% data usage, and about 5-10% done with game content, and I feel like I have a long way to go before I start trying to generate any hype.
Okay, I'd be remiss if I didn't respond to your actual post. I kind of like what you've got here; I'd recommend carefully looking at how good mystery writers write, because CSI (in my humble and somewhat unpopular opinion) is about the farthest thing from good writing. Make sure to come up with a good reason the boy became a detective... and DON'T make the "mystery" stuff a simple fetch quest for fingerprints and such... find some way to make the player actually analyze what s/he has found, or at least use real-life logic to figure out where to find the stuff. More details about your gameplay systems would be appreciated. Best of luck with this one.
