    A bit of help needed

Hi, kinda new here, I lurk alot 'cause I barely have anything to say.
I was wondering if it was possible to create a system where you could switch party members around before dungeons(With 6 members to choose from) and be able to make it so only a few are there at first to choose from, and more are added later? If so, how do I do it?

Just check the sticked "answers to basic questions" post in this forum under "How many characters can I have in my party?"

Yes it's possible, like Hito said check his sticky topic, I'm working on a game now that has 9 different players you can choose from before you enter a dungeon

Here I come Pav, like the Kool-Aid man barging into a funeral! Oh yeah!

It wasn't a stupid question, it was a valid question and a good one, it's only been answered already, that doesn't make it stupid

Can I ask another question?I'm making a ghost town and I decided to make one of the ghosts come out of their coffin(A dead elf prince, to be exact) and is it just playtest, am I not getting something or do you have to open a window that covers the whole screen then close it to make the stupid character change from mode one(not able to see the character) to two(being able to see the character)?

If you mean, do you need to go into the stats menu and close it before he appears, you should not have to. However, I discovered with A Series Aside that if you use too many auto events that are all active in a certain area, it sometimes causes the system to not do anything, even if you programmed it correctly. I hated this in terms of programming, because I had to type a little note to the player that he might have to go to the stats menu and back out of it in order for everything to work correctly.

If you are talking about the screen flashing after doing a "display on" to make the character appear, then that's normal. It'll always happen.

I'm talking about commanding my character to change modes after me making 2 messages play and the music changeing and he doesn't appear until I enter a menu then come back.4 commands for one event isn't too many, is it?And would it make him appear if I made it give you an item out of the coffin as well?(Aka does it go to the screen you see after a battle where you get experince and items and such when you get an item from an event?)Thats a window that covers the whole screen.

Try to add a refresh screen display into the event list. It might help.

I guess I'm confused as to which menu you are talking about. The only menu I can think of is the menu where you look at your stats, items, treasures, etc. by hitting the [] button. If this is the menu you are talking about, I already gave you an answer. Like I said above, when I was playtesting A Series Aside, this happened to me as well when I had too many auto events in one area (town map, building, field map, etc).

I was talking about the menus that are avaliable in playtest when you press start(variables and such). thats what I was using.Sorry about the confusion, Perversion.
