Hey heres a companion for my manga topic, COMICS!!

Alrighty a few favorites of mine are Sin city, Tank Girl , JTHM....well alot of vasquez's stuff. Various Sergio aragones collections.

    Newspaper wise:
Calvin and Hobbes, Fox trot, Zits, Baby blues.

Superhero wise mostly various Ironman , Spiderman, Ghostrider and.....make fun of me if you will but i enjoy the Ultimate titles...except for ultimates..that just sucks.

So yeah, what do you read/suggest?

hmmm and dont bother with webcomics alright?......unless its like poopdeck swabbing or something XP

Classic Peanuts are always good, Family Circus, and any of those older comical cartoons, not too big on the modern looking/political ones

Baby Blues is the same series that they made the AS cartoon series on right? I know the AS series died really quickly, havent seen it in the comics yet, but then again I dont really read them

Here I come Pav, like the Kool-Aid man barging into a funeral! Oh yeah!

            I've found Invincible pretty entertaining.

I've kinda been wishing someone would adapt Fables into a live-action series.

Preacher. I've bought most of the trades but still haven't gotten around to completing the set.

Young Avengers. First comic book I ever subscribed to. Great writing.

                That is all.
I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!

I liked Preacher, they did that whole descendant of jesus thing way before the DiVinci code. Turns out he was retarded from all the inbreeding.
                  ....
Heh, never thought I would post in this topic twice.

WELL I GUESS SOMEONE OUT THERE HAS HEARD MY PRAYERS.

two of my favorite comics do the most unlikely crossover ever? this is brilliant. first of all, it's more Marvel Zombies. secondly, it's Ash in the Marvel Universer (albeit, an alternate Marvel Universe, but interacting with Marvel U characters nonetheless). and look at the ****ing cover. this is going to be an instant classic.

                            Re: Comic chat

I read a bunch of comics tonight.

Gargoyles #2 is nice but the art suffers a bit. The artist could be really good but he makes these weird choices like... not finishing his lineart... I dunno. The action is also a bit too confusing but that could be due to the dark, dark colors. Plus it's $3.50. It's tough to be a Gargoyle.

I REALLY enjoyed the new Detective Comics. The Joker spontaneously kidnaps Robin and goes on a killing spree. And it's a holiday issue too. Somehow. Written by Paul Dini, who writes the best Joker this side of Alan Moore, IMHO. Highly recommended.

SPEAKIN' OF ALAN MOORE... I'm beginning to really like his Promethea series. I'm almost done with the second volume and man... MAN... he writes good. Colorful and imaginitive. He makes sex sound so awesome.

I've been reading Runaways, which could also make for a good TV series, and I'm slowly catching up on New Avengers and the Civil War stuff, which has been mostly good so far.

The Maxx series was amazing. ****.

I'm also a fan of American Splendor and pretty much everything I've seen from Harvey Pekar.

                              Those are pretty popular ones.
