    Legends of Erethulka series

This are some series I plan to start based on my roleplay story. The story revolves around the world known as Erethulka and the conflict that reigns everywhere. Currently I'm working on my first game on rpgm3 title tentatively Legends of Erethulka Dragon Order. The name might change at any given time.

Dragon Order is about a archer called Ethan who recently joined the army of Dostaria, a continent which is located in the southern part of Erethulka. War quickly takes over all the continents as Navesteul declares war to one and one to the other and the other to another. The whole word enters a conflict which quickly takes many lives and nature as well. As Ethan you must enter a world full of conflict where even who was your friend could be your enemy now. Fearing the danger and cries of the land the ancient creatures known as dragons emerge from within the earth to restore the peace of the land. But destruction only means more suffering and more conflict. The dragons become another enemy on the war and a turmoil is sure to follow.

Any comments and suggestions are welcomed. The planned distribution of the game for now is through the Playstation 3 ps2 save format. The file will be available once its done through here and through my website which will go online later. You'll be able to get a special pack from my website containing the game, concept art made by myself and another artist of characters and everything that was involved in making the game. A cover art will be available as well so you can print it and slap it to a ps2 cover and snap your memory card into the merory card pocket. This will be all downloadable through my website in the future. More info will be available later.

This sounds pretty ambitious...now all you need to do is make the game.

I am not sure how the PS3 save function would work to get it online.

But as for your game, the first word that pops up in my mind is generic. But even with such a plot, it can be really good depending on how you make it.

But so far, nothing really snags my interest. But you didn't give much plot detail.

And where did these dragons come from? Were they always there? Did someone make them to cleanse the world of the wars?

I like the game cover idea.

I would defintally check up on the PS3 thing a bit more. I am not sure how that will work.

Dragons were one of the first races of Erethulka. They have lived there before any other races. As other races emerged they started living underground and deep in the mountains where no one could find them. They were very wise and coexisted with the land. They could not speak but could share their thoughts through telepathy. As for who maked them....That is the plot of the third game titled Divine gods where the characters will come face to face to their creators.

About the ps3. It is very simple. Put in a thumb drive or a memory stick on the ps3. Copy the save data of rpgm3 from the ps3 xml menu and take it to your computer. Done. If a converter that converts this file to something like a max file becomes available then there will also be a file on that format for the ps2 users.

I'll pretty much agree with everything Vonwert said. The story is pretty generic (including the background of the Dragons), and everything you've said has just been done too many times before! But it doesn't seem overwrought, and it could be very good if you write it well and make the plot interesting at the smaller levels. Keep in mind that things are always much more interesting, much more dynamic, and usually more fun in live Role Playing than in a video game. The "special pack" sounds very cool and can add a lot to the feel of your game. Overall, it's something I'd consider playing, definitely.

How Badly Do You Want It? (VX Ace) is now available for download! - no outside software necessary.

Thank you for the comments guys. I've been waiting for some converters to come out for the PS3 so I can truly begin working on the game and work the game on both ps3 format and gameshark format. Finally it seems I have found some converters for the psv file format and am testing it now. I will post back if I find out they work.

Edit: According to the info the program psv exporter allows me only to export psv files(the format ps2 files are saved on) and convert them into the popular files for ps2. But...unfortunately psv importing cannot be done yet due to the fact that each save has now a digital signature. I was so excited to almost finally be able to play other people's rpgm games....More waiting for me I guess. Max Drive and other conversion applications are confirmed not to work on the ps3.

Don't tell me, you got rid of your PS2 when you got your PS3? Bad idea, especially since the PS3 isn't fully backwards compatible.

Anyway, back to the topic for me. I agree with the others in the generic department, but I would definetely play it. The dragon backstory has been done in some professional games... *cough*warcraft 3*cough*. But I think that with some fleshing out and those extra features (the printable lable and concept art) the game could turn out quite nice.

Good luck, and don't stop until your done or you'll never finish!

Indeed. It was bad mistake on my part selling my ps3. I was in desperate need of cash and so I sold my ps2. It is a move I regret since with it I could had transferred the games into max drive format. Plugged the memory card on the adapter for ps3 and upload them to my ps3 hdd. Now my hopes are on the hands of hackers who try to hack the structure of the virtual memory card. Or I could just ask my neighbor to lend me his ps2 lol. Still doing this would require a investment on a max drive. Which costs like 40 bucks plus tax. Ironically the max drive appeared on my game stop around january. Well hey look at the bright side. I'll at least be able to upload my game. But will not have any reference from other games to make mine really good so the first demos will suck. I'll need a lot of user feedback for this game. lol
