If you wave your remote around like a ****ing tard hard enough for it to break the strap, you deserve a broken tv or bloody nose.If you don’t like the Revolution controller, you are fundamentally part of the problem and killing the ****ing art form. ~Kieron Gillen

Re: Nintendo offering free wrist strap replacements.
The original strap is plenty strong. According to this guy on Nintendojo it can hold over 25 pounds.

25 pounds of books and 100 fl oz of Mountain Fresh laundry detergent.
He also tested it doing normal and exaggerated playing motions and it didn't break until he finally pulled it apart.
So, for my final act, I went old school. With one hand on the remote and the other on the strap, and I gave it a heave. I reached that point where I was pulling so hard I began to shake, and then, finally, progress -- I heard a click, and then a snap.Last edited by DarkwingChuck; 12-15-2006, 04:35 PM.I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!

Re: Nintendo offering free wrist strap replacements.
I find the original Wii remote strap to be pretty firm and sturdy. I'm surprised that people are actually breaking it.
Maybe I'm doing some thing wrong? Perhaps I'm holding it too correctly, and not releasing it? I don't want to risk breaking it by doing anything reckless, though.
Regardless, I wanna see one of these new thingies.

Re: Nintendo offering free wrist strap replacements.
I try not to swing my Wiimote too hard--unless Zelda begins to **** me off. Then I start swinging my sword like crazy just to vent my frustrations on an enemy giving me trouble ^_^;
I'll .... try to be more careful when swinging my Wiimote like some crazed lunatic.
