I like the creepy vibe added by the mousepad. it really completes your setup.

Very nice! What do you use the two monitors for and what was the final bill for all that?

Now all you need is a bigger desk!

Heh, a bigger desk sound real nice...

My tower actually hangs off the front of the desk an inch or two.

Oh, and I'm not sure if your SN comes from Chrono Trigger (of which I assmume). So, a little fun fact about me... I'm a hard core CT fan. If you look at that pic of my mousepad, look inside the case. You should see pictures of the characters from CT. I have quite a few mounted, but in that pic you can see Magus, Robo, and Marle quite well.

All in all, I spent a little over a grand.

I promise you, if Dell were to sell the a computer just like mine... they'd charge you well over $3000.

Thanks. My degree is computer technology has alot to do with it. But I have to say, I think I've learned more about computers on the field than I ever have in a class room.

As for the mousepad, I'm afraid not.

The only other mousepads of that nature were of generic "anime babes".

After I got my Laptop I don't think I can ever go back to desktops. Although Desktops are more powerful and cheaper, I just love being able to walk around, use it in class, use it in any part of my home, etc.

I would say that your set-up looks pretty sweet if it wasn't for the fact of the boobpad you have there.

                      Lmao, to each their own.

That mousepad is actually quite comfy.

Oh, and I'm aslo about as anti-laptop as anyone can get. They never last very long, aren't as powerful, cost more, are harder to work on, can't make custom laptops, ect.

I don't think being about to walk around with it compensates for all the other downfalls. But that's MHO. =Þ

Re: So, I upgraded my computer.

Yeah, it's an OK computer, slightly better than mine.

As for building computers it's pretty easy now, as most motherboards come with instructions for how to put your computer together. Hardest part is if you have to change jumper settings, getting the front panel wires to plug in correctly, and putting on the heatsink (though even that is pretty much snap together now, without all the force it used to take). All you have to remember is to be constantly be touching the case to ground your self so you don't short out parts with your static.

Knowing what to buy can be difficult though.

As for laptops I've never like spending more than I have to. I'll probably get one eventually but for now most of the time when I need a computer I'm near one of mine, plus I have internet there. At college you get spoiled with wireless internet, which is typically not in most buildings, so unless you get wireless through a cellular provider, you likely won't have the internet on the go with a laptop.

                        As for more deskspace

lol, yeah... jumper settings are a btch. well... sometimes. It really depends. Asus Mobos, for example, are quite easy to set... where as Intel, I seem to have a bit of an issue. Asus has easy to read text on their boards, and Intel has labels like "j11" that you have to look up.

Oh, and wrist straps are like $8... well worth not having to worry about frying your system.

As far as wireless goes, I think it's unstable. Nothing will secure connection like plain hard wire jobs. Wireless can be.... flagrant at times.

Quick question, does your lightscribe suck a**? Mine lags my whole computer whenever it's doing anything, and takes 2 hours to rip 1 DVD.

I never really use it that much honestly. I'm not a big movie person so I don't rip really. I use it to run games like Fable abd burn dvd data dics... and it runs just fine. Every now and then I'll play a DVD on it, which has no issues either... It doesn't gank resources that bad at all.
