    War with IRAN?

The office is touching like they did on Iraq. Poking a little harder at Iran. Iraq was pretty stupid, I used to be a hardcore republican too. If there is some big talk about a war with Iran, things seriously need to be done. America does not have the resources to fight 2 wars.

I doubt they're planning to occupy Iran. Most likely we'll just bomb them like we did Iraq in the 90's.

People had those same doubts about Iraq in December 2002, IRC.

History is repeating itself just a mere 2 years later. It's all about the oil. On NPR today, an interveiw was aired where some economist claimed we had already reached peak oil production this year. Not a very promising outlook for our economy...

But even back then they were talking about removing Sadam. They're not talking about regime change in Iran. Not that it wouldn't necessarily surprise me, but I'm going to wait a bit before I jump to conclusions.

Actrually, the first excuse was about getting rid of the WMD.

Getting rid of Saddam excuse came circa February 2003 from right-wing opposition t mass anti-war protests, but not on part of Bush himself until later that year, when no WMD were being found and after people started wising up to the fact that the Bush administration used forged documents to make its claims and mislead the american public about aluminum tubes when the IAEA previously claimed the aluminum tubes Saddam ordered could not be used as centrifuges.

I certainly hope I'm wrong, but this does not look good. Especially with draconian draft legislation being put in place as we speak, with legislation in place to seal off borders in the event of a draft, and detain those that try to flee the country via boat or plane through use of computer databases and identifying all potential passengers. If you get drafted and try to flee, you'll be busted as soon as you're asked to give a form of identification. Maybe someone will come along and shoot Cheney, Rove, Wolfowitz, Rice, and a few other cabinet members, and leave the monkey emporer without any direct puppet masters. But that's dreaming right there. Won't happen.

If there is a draft, those fleeing it will be doing so within this nation's borders. Getting out will become too risky. In such a case, best just to stock up on guns, refuse to show up at a recruiting station, and go with the flow from there.
