I actually couldn't get online early today. I will try again tonight.
I am going to play on the secure mode.
I did go through a little of the beginning on normal mode, and I really like the ability throw axes.
There really isn't much more options for the customizing though. Just 2 or 3 more.
Vah Shir's get kinda jimped, since they only have a couple skins, but they look really cool, so it isn't so bad.
The graphics are slightly improved and the enemies are improved. Though they didn't slaughter me untill two orges surrounded me, unlike the first one, where the orcs killed me pretty fast offline.
I got to play online last night and it is really fun. The only thing I am not sure about is how much damage Vah Shir's take. I went down pretty fast when I got surrounded.
I don't know if I will go back to being a barb or not.
I wish I could use my xbox headset, since I like it more than the ps version I have.
If you import a character from CoN with armor that has mana+/health+ bonuses, your bonuses WILL NOT WORK. This is a VERY ANNOYING glitch. How this got past the Sony playtesters I will never know. Of course, they are SONY playtesters, so there you go.
Also, if you use the Wiz's cold/fire enchant weapon spell on your party with a member that already has cold/fire on their weapon, the spell will wipe out the cold/fire from the weapon's slot. Also, very annoying.
And we all thought that it was the dual-layered disc that was causing all of those glitches in CoN. Snowblind Studios and Sony are really slipping in the QA area in this series. Overall, the game is great, but it would be nice to play a Champions game that wasn't plagued with a few glaring problems. Maybe five games from now we'll have them all fixed(if they get that far at this rate).
Still, you'd think Snowblind would have a checklist of things to go over before it even went to the playtesters, with things like stat enhancement items being in bolded letters. Hell, I re-read every single thing I write(including this post). It is obvious that the game was rushed. They had to get the game out while CoN was still fresh in everyone's mind. Not that Return to Arms isn't good: but it could have been nearly perfect.
I just picked up some fresh armor in RtA with a health bonus attached and checked to make sure: it definitely doesn't add your health points. Imported and in-game armor won't count health or mana bonuses. It kinda sucks, but I think I'll live.
Yeah, it would have been nice if they had caught it, but that is what the beta testers are for, to make sure that a bug they might have missed is caught. I dont think i ever used HP increasing items anyway, so i doubt it would make a difference to me. Now i did sometimes use enhancing items like for fire or ice weapons, but i'll just avoid the wizard.
